COHIT Forum – the Central Ohio Healthcare IT Forum – is a networking and collaboration forum for start-up companies in the healthcare IT (HIT) space. There are a large number of HIT startups, relevant technologies, and talent locally, and the mission of COHIT Forum is to bring these together to accelerate development and growth of HIT companies and advance the Central Ohio region on the national healthcare stage. Goals for COHIT Forum participants include:

  • A community resource for start-up companies, organizations, and individuals in the healthcare IT space.
  • Promote healthcare IT in the Central Ohio region and provide a shared resource and collaboration center to help companies start and grow.
  • Find expertise, technology, and people to start companies, accelerate growth, and get help to get the right solutions to the right markets.

The kickoff event was held on May 9 at the DEC (Dublin Entrepreneurial Center). 10 organizations were represented, and the feedback was very positive. The objective was to introduce the COHIT Forum and see what help and opportunities HIT community members want to form, launch, and grow companies, products, and services for Healthcare IT. Many groups have expertise that they can offer and also need help in the form of collaborators, talent, access to customers, etc. COHIT Forum  is an informal organization and its meetings and activities will be driven by the interests of the community.
